リモートコントロール画面を開くときにエラーが出る

VMware Instastructure Web Access画面にて、リモートコントロール画面を開くときに以下エラーが出ました。

Cannot access virtual machine console.

The VMware Remote Console plug-in failed to connect to your virtual machine “<VIRTUAL_MACHINE_NAME>”.Your browser is running in ‘Protected Mode’. In order for the VMware Remote Console Plug-in to work correctly, you should add this server to the list of trusted sites.If this problem persists, contact your system administrator.

解決方法は、本Webサイトを信頼済みサイトに入れることです。

[ツール]->[インターネット オプション]->[セキュリティ]->[信頼済みサイト]->[サイト]->[追加]

環境

  • Server
    • VMware Server 2.0.1 build-156745
  • Client
    • Windows 7 64bit
    • Internet Exploere 8 32bit版（64bit版では、ウェブブラウザ上にリモートコンソールを表示するアイコンが表示されなかった）

HDDマウント手順

新たなHDDを接続し、OSを起動する。フォーマットをするため、fdiskを起動する。fdiskにて使用したコマンドは省略する。

# fdisk /dev/sdb
# /sbin/mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sdb1

「/etc/fstab」にて以下の記述を追加する。

/dev/sdb1 /var2 ext3 defaults 1 2
